Growth Acceleration Partners (GAP) has introduced its AI Impact Framework, a system designed to gauge the tangible business benefits of artificial intelligence (AI) implementations. Unlike traditional methods that often focus solely on AI usage metrics, this framework aims to differentiate between everyday AI-assisted tasks and those that genuinely enhance productivity, automate processes, or create reusable capabilities across teams.
The AI Impact Framework involves a detailed assessment process where employees submit evidence of AI-enabled projects completed over the past six months. This evidence can include production code, custom AI agents, automated testing systems, and more. The framework excludes self-reported or hypothetical AI capabilities, focusing instead on concrete outcomes.
A multi-agent evaluation process forms the backbone of the framework. Initially, an evaluator reviews the submitted evidence. This is followed by an adversarial agent who challenges any unsupported claims. A referee then examines both assessments to assign a final score. Human managers and project leaders validate these results, and any contested assessments undergo further review.
Participants in the program are categorized into four levels of AI maturity. These levels range from basic AI integration to advanced capabilities involving the development and operation of autonomous AI agents and workflows that deliver significant organizational impact. GAP reported that by July 2026, approximately 41% of its workforce had achieved Level 3, with about 48% reaching Level 2.
According to GAP, the framework not only sets measurable baselines and identifies development needs but also aids organizations in advancing from initial AI adoption to more autonomous and impactful business operations. The company is also applying the framework internally to pinpoint capability gaps and tailor personalized development plans for its employees.
